linkharpoon.com policy on the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Member Contact Information and Handicap Information
linkharpoon.com is committed to enhancing the interests of its membership and to the protection of their privacy. Consistent with these objectives and its mandate, the UHS is dedicated to maintaining high standards of confidentiality with respect to the information that has been provided to the UHS and its participant users. This policy statement has been prepared to affirm our commitment to maintaining the privacy of our members and to inform you of our practices concerning the collection, use and disclosure of information provided to linkharpoon.com .
Privacy obligations apply to all organizers, volunteers and agents who provide products, services or information to or on behalf of the UHS members.
linkharpoon.com collects contact information from members through its team and individual registration forms available in both paper and electronic formats and does so to fulfill the objectives and mandate of the organization. The achievement of the linkharpoon.com’s objectives can involve, among other things, providing products, services and information to its members and permitting third parties to do the same in partnership with the league. In such cases, a strict non-disclosure agreement with be used to protect members’ privacy.
Contact information is a member’s name, e-mail address, telephone/fax number and handicap skill level value in various cue sports.
All member contact information is held in strict confidence and, except in limited circumstances, is not revealed to anyone unless approved by linkharpoon.com. linkharpoon.com publishes a list of bookmarks index in various ways. Member contact information may be provided to third parties on a limited basis when:
- in the opinion of linkharpoon.com operators, such usage constitutes a service and the information is pertinent to the members of the linkharpoon.com and;
- linkharpoon.com has the written agreement of the third party to adhere to specific requirements with respect to their use of such information.
To illustrate these requirements, linkharpoon.com member contact information:
- Is not to be used in connection with any communication, which, in the opinion of the operators/organizers, would tend to mislead, misinform or deceive or which is distasteful in content or presentation or is illegal. A copy of third party material(s) to be distributed to members is provided to the UHS prior to the release of member contact information.
In most cases, linkharpoon.com would attempt to facilitate the delivery of any products, services or information without the need of releasing member contact information to third parties.
linkharpoon.com will retain member contact information only for so long as it is required for the purposes stated above. The linkharpoon.com endeavours to maintain the accuracy of any information about members in its possession. Information about former members is not actively maintained and, for so long as it is held by linkharpoon.com, there is no assurance of correctness.
All constituent operators of the linkharpoon.com have equal responsibility for enforcing this policy.

The Site reserves the right to cancel a User account or change a username or profile data at any time. Similarly, if the Site prompts or allows a User to create an avatar or upload a picture, User agrees not to use any image that impersonates some other person or entity, or that is otherwise likely to cause confusion.
You are responsible for protecting your username and password for the Site, and you agree not to disclose it to any third party. We recommend that you use a password that is more than eight characters long. You are responsible for all activity on your account, whether or not you authorized it. Disputes
We are based in Toronto, ON, CA and you are contracting to use our Site. This Policy and all matters arising from your use of the Site are governed by and will be construed according to the laws of Toronto, ON, CA, without regard to any choice of laws rules of any jurisdiction. The federal courts and state courts that have geographical jurisdiction over disputes arising at our office location in Toronto, ON, CA will be the only permissible venues for any and all disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy or the Site and Service.
